We're not getting on Austin's case, but we know this is a big obstacle in a number of cites, counties and similar fiefdoms of this country, and you might be living in one. Just a heads up, you may need to check in with your town to make sure your chances of seeing 5G coverage aren't held back by some well-meaning friends and neighbors who still think telecommunications lives and dies by the dial tone.
Ask your community development director or building department how the small cell/5G process is moving along in your neighborhood. The city where I live owns their own fiber backbone and they would be thrilled to hook it up to some small cells and make our burg a connected community. Or so we think. We won't know until we check.

39GHz is something new. Studies have found it causes cancer in mice. Do we want to be using it everywhere before we know its safe (keep in mind X-Rays were once considered safe and were used to check how well shoes fit)
5G is not for me. It will not help my phone, data or even streaming. It will benefit rfIDs, self-driving cars, police/military data sets, and machine to machine transfers. It will aid in the tracking of all Humans and with crowd control. What could possibly go wrong......
Hundreds of scientists around the world believe 5G is harmful. Read documentation here https://www.5gspaceappeal.org/
Check out the Environmental Health Network. Why are hundreds of scientists and doctors from all over the world making an appeal to the United Nations to reconsider 5G?
So glad Boston isn’t one of the early adopter cities. This whole thing will be calamitous unless they can make it safer. It’s completely unregulated. What could possibly go wrong? Everything.
I heard that the most innovated companies are about to launch home internet service using 5G. Let's see how it goes.
Seriously people? Do you think infrustructure just pops up one day? 5G has been in development for the past 5 years at least. You have already been living in a 5G world without realizing it, because it isn't harmful. You people find anything to latch onto
Yeah as long as you and your kids have a good medical insurance with a good cancer coverage policy, and have a good oncology doctor, I'd say bring on the 5G grid! 'cause being able to download movies in 2 seconds is worth dying for! Why waste time and money doing safety research and risk dying of old age while waiting?
Just make sure to roll it out in cities with a majority Democratic voting base first and I'm fine with it.
I will settle for my cell phone working at my house...
Interesting example of how industry (just like government) sees the issue as "controlling the narrative" - if they can convince most of us that we can't get 5G because government has too many permits and red tape, then we might miss the fact that thousands of people, many armed with alarming science, are protesting 5G and the permitting is just the obvious way to slow it down or stop it.
Also the narrative that everyone is going to benefit from 5G - that's another attempt to set the narrative - "you need it" and "you going to love it" - how long are we regular humans going to be influenced and manipulated by these kinds of tactics?
We already have a serious problem The utilities have installed high-powered meters that are not only pushing EMFs through our walls like they weren't there, but also inducing EMFs into our house wiring system. Doctors are starting to report auto-immune issues with people who had no history before 2-5 years ago. It will take us 10 years to connect the dots because our doctors are not physicists and meanwhile our authorities will be feeding us this kind of anti-narrative.
Agreed 100%
My wife and I are getting ready to move away from this city. Backbone infrastructure is being built right where I live, right now. But where can we go? They intend to saturate urban and rural areas everywhere. We are all about to become meat in a very sophisticated microwave oven that can do much more than just heat and serve.
In no way do I want 5G anywhere near my family. Whoever thinks it is harmless is deluded. They need to do some basic research on this insanity and they will find out just how harmful it truly is.
All of society is being sold on a technology that will only benefit the hospitals due to the increase in cancer cases.
I vote No to all of this madness.
Exactly.
